Kerage is a dynamic Tanzanian female creative, a certified filmmaker, and a passionate photographer. Her ability to view narratives through a distinctive lens has propelled her into a captivating career as a filmmaker.

 

Kerage’s unwavering belief in the transformative power of storytelling fuels her creative drive. Through storytelling, she aims to dismantle societal norms, rewrite cultural narratives, and alter perceptions to stimulate real change.

 

Her journey is rooted in a robust foundation of film and cinematography. She is a proud graduate of the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA), holding a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture Medium with a focus on Cinematography.

 

She has over five years of experience in the creative industry, creating short films and content for a variety of brands during her time at a creative agency and as a freelancer. She has collaborated in compelling short films and content for a diverse range of brands. Her portfolio boasts collaborations with esteemed clients including Vodacom Tanzania, NMB Bank, Precision Air, Standard Chartered Bank, Take Back the Mic: Africa, GIZ Tanzania, and The Italian Embassy in Tanzania.

 

Kerage’s versatile skills encompass content creation, photography, videography, and cinematography, making her a valuable asset to any creative project. Currently, she also serves as one of the in-house filmmakers at Abantu Visions.
